Evolution?

Hi, all...

Clearly life has changed significantly since I last posted, but life evolves in unusual ways sometimes.

For those who don't know, I have traded in my stay-at-home Dad duties for a life in clinical informatics.  This is a fancy term which means that I help hospitals support the implementation of their electronic medical records (EMRs).  This is not nearly as much fun as hanging out with my kids, mind you, though it is more effective at paying the rent.  Currently I am working in Owensboro, Kentucky and have been working at Owensboro Medical Health Systems for the past 2 1/2 months, with the plan of being here for several weeks more.

This has been my first long-term foray into the South and while Owensboro is limited compared to Chicago in its cultural offerings, I am appreciating Southern hospitality.  I have been lucky enough to make some good friends here in the physicians who I come in contact with on a day-to-day basis.  My efforts at work are much-appreciated, which I also enjoy.
